Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Do I need a special pram?
A: No. Your usual pram will be just fine. As long as it is well padded and comfortable for baby and the handles are the right height for you it will be fine.
If baby cannot hold his/ her head stable I advise that you use a head guard like the ones you get in car seats.

Q: What should I wear for Mums on the Run?
A: Sports bra, trainers and comfortable clothes.

Q: Is Mums on the Run taught by a qualified instructor?
A: Of course, all KO Sport instructors are fully qualified, personal trainers and fitness instructors. We also are first aid qualified and fully insured!

Q: What do we do in Mums on the Run?
A: We start with a warm up and then progress onto the main workout which is a mixture of fast walking or jogging for those that have been coming to the classes for a while.
If you don't feel fit enough for a jog don't worry as you can Power Walk.
We then park up the prams and do a workout in front of the babies that will tone you up and work your heart and lungs.
We work the legs, bum, tummy, shoulders and arms.
When we have finished we have a cool down and stretch.
We then head off for a refreshing drink and some lunch.

Q: What do the babies do while we exercise?
A: The older babies seem to find Mums on the Run fascinating and hilarious watching carefully as Mum works out.
The younger ones tend to find the movement makes them sleepy and they often stay in the pram throughout the workout.
The older babies often get out of their prams when we are stationary and have a kick about on a blanket or a crawl or toddle around.

Q: What if my baby cries during Mums on the Run?
A: Don't worry, all babies cry and we are all in the same boat!
When we park up for the main workout you can get baby out of the pram for a cuddle or a feed if you feel that is what is needed.
I advise that you feed baby before the class if you think he/ she may get hungry.
If baby is a little older and on solids bring a little snack for them.

Q: How long does a Mums on the Run class last?
A: 1 hour

Q: Is Mums on the Run cancelled if it rains?
A: No. We find as much shelter as possible and still have a great workout.

Q: How do I book my place on a Mums on the Run class?
